Dean is the Founder and Principal of Bastion Legal, and holds unique experience within the insurance industry.
Dean acts for individuals, owner corporations and builders in a variety of insurance matters, with a particular interest in Victorian plumber’s warranty and personal injury claims.
For over 14 years, Dean has developed all-rounded experience within the insurance industry working in roles such as a Lawyer, Chartered Loss Adjuster, Authorised Compliance Officer for the Victorian Building Authority, Factual Investigator for WorkSafe and Transport Accident Commission, and workplace consultant. Dean is detail orientated and strongly believes in simplifying the claim process for his clients. He is passionate and committed to achieving the best possible outcome for his clients as efficiently as possible. Some of Dean’s previous matters include:
- Major property damage claim caused by plumbing related water leaks at the Medical School of the University of Melbourne, involving advice concerning indemnity, quantum, remediation and repair;
- Gandel v Krongold Constructions (Aust) Pty Ltd and Ors (VCC): property damage claim in a Toorak mansion; claim against builder and contractors concerning proportionate liability; and
- Personal injury claim made against liquidated company and achieving a settlement in excess of $1,000,000.
